What We Offer
Regular Classes
Taking place in small groups, you can speak plenty at your own pace. The teacher will adapt to the group’s level making it suitable for mixed abilities. If you’re planning on staying in Osaka or Kyoto for a while, it’s the ideal course for you. For example if you’re a digital nomad, an exchange student at a local university or simply a traveler who wants to improve their basic Japanese.
Cultural Activities
Learning a language is also learning a culture, you can’t acquire one without the other. Our cultural activities offer the perfect insight into Japanese culture and connecting it to language too which makes learnt vocabulary more memorable and feel natural.
If you’re staying in Kansai or at OEH for a shorter period, these are a great way to experience some cultural immersion. Learn the art of calligraphy, origami and other traditional crafts. You could also take part in cooking lessons such as making mochi or dorayaki (Japanese pancakes with a sweet filling).
Private Lessons
If you would rather have dedicated, undivided attention to you and your pursuit of Japanese, we also provide private lessons. These sessions are built entirely around you. You pick the intensity and we’ll design lessons that help you achieve your specific goals. These are great if you want to take the JLPT, learn business Japanese or want to have real conversations to help you build relationships in Japan.
At OEH we offer three private lesson programs for you to choose from, Light, Steady Progress or Immersion. The Light Program consists of two hours of study a day combined with exploring Kansai and practising your Japanese. Our Steady Progress program includes four hours a day of class, including deep grammar study and afternoon exploration of Kansai. Finally, our Immersion Program is made up of a six hour study day for that all day immersion to dramatically improve your Japanese fluency.
The Real Deal
As you can see, OEH has plenty of classes for you to pick from based on your level and your goals. With us by the end of your course you will have started to develop a natural confidence in your Japanese. We look forward to hearing from you and helping you on your language learning journey!
