Tips and Tricks

Now that we’ve explored the best activities and views at Biwako Valley, here are some tips and tricks to help you make the most of your trip!

Make sure to check the Shiga weather forecast before you travel to Biwako Valley – if it’s snowing heavily, you might not be able to fully see Lake Biwa. The Biwako Valley website is updated daily with the weather, including the exact temperature and wind levels.

If you go in winter, it will be very cold, so make sure to come prepared. The summit is likely to be at least 5 degrees colder than the base, so wrap up warm with lots of layers and maybe bring some hand warmers and heat patches.
