Kumiko-sensei brings a calm, friendly energy to her classes, blending practical Japanese with hands-on cultural experiences. Her lessons are designed to feel natural and welcoming, especially for students who want to learn through everyday interaction rather than formal textbooks alone.

Alongside language practice, she leads cultural activities such as origami, where conversation flows naturally while hands are busy folding paper into small stories. It’s learning that happens gently, almost without noticing.

Outside the classroom, Kumiko-sensei loves traveling and music, and she has a soft spot for Moomin stories and characters. Her dream is to one day visit Northern Europe, drawn to its calm landscapes and creative spirit.

What to Expect:

  • Beginner-friendly Japanese classes
  • Clear explanations and a supportive pace
  • A welcoming atmosphere for adults and families

Karin-sensei teaches beginner Japanese in a friendly, approachable way that works well for both adults and families.

She has a long-standing connection to Japanese culture through tea ceremony, which she practiced throughout high school and university. That background shows in her teaching style: attentive, thoughtful, and comfortable guiding beginners step by step.

Outside the classroom, she enjoys traveling, discovering local food and drinks, and cooking. These everyday interests often find their way into her lessons, making the language feel practical and connected to real life.

Her classes are a good fit for beginners who want to learn Japanese at a steady pace, with clear explanations and a relaxed atmosphere.

What to expect:

  • Beginner-friendly Japanese classes
  • Clear explanations and a supportive pace
  • A welcoming atmosphere for adults and families

Takeda-sensei is a former public junior high school teacher with many years of classroom experience, and it shows in the best way. She explains Japanese clearly, understands where learners usually get stuck, and knows how to help them move forward step by step.

She modestly says her English isn’t very good, but her classes feel welcoming and easy to follow. Her love for international exchange comes through in her warm, patient teaching style and the way she encourages students to speak, even when they’re not completely sure.

The class is structured and focused, with gentle challenges that help you use more Japanese each time. You’ll learn a lot, speak more than you expect, and feel supported throughout the process.

What you can expect in her classes:

  • Beginner-friendly lessons, from zero level to solid foundations
  • Clear grammar explanations that actually make sense
  • A calm, positive atmosphere where it’s okay to make mistakes
  • Learning Japanese in a fun and reassuring way

Rie-sensei’s classes are designed for complete beginners and early learners who want to start Japanese in a calm, supportive environment. Drawing on many years of experience supporting students at Neyagawa High School and over two decades of involvement with the PTA, she has a strong sense of how beginners learn and where they often hesitate.

Her lessons focus on building solid foundations at a natural pace, using games, simple activities, and conversation to make learning feel approachable and enjoyable. Questions are always welcome, mistakes are part of the process, and progress comes through steady practice rather than pressure.

Rie-sensei values cultural exchange and believes language is best learned through interaction. Her classes feel relaxed and reassuring, making them an ideal starting point for anyone taking their first steps in Japanese.

Outside the classroom, Rie-sensei enjoys reading, watching movies, baking chiffon cakes, karaoke, and spending quiet time with cats.

What to expect:

  • Japanese for beginners, from zero or early level
  • Clear, patient explanations
  • A relaxed classroom atmosphere
  • Steady progress through regular practice

Madoka-sensei’s classes are designed for beginners who want to start Japanese in a calm, steady, and practical way. Having studied Spanish at Kansai Gaidai University and trained as a Japanese language teacher in Canada, she understands firsthand what it feels like to learn a new language from scratch.

Her lessons focus on clear grammar explanations and useful vocabulary, always connected to real-life situations. The pace is steady and supportive, allowing students to understand how Japanese works while gradually building confidence in using it. Speaking is encouraged, but never forced, and mistakes are treated as a natural part of learning.

Outside class, she enjoys movies and TV dramas, traveling (especially Okinawa), and cooking takoyaki.

What to expect:

  • Clear grammar and vocabulary for everyday Japanese
  • Step-by-step explanations at a comfortable pace
  • A supportive environment that builds confidence naturally

Kumi-chan sensei leads Japanese language and cultural activities that center on learning through experience. Her classes are built around traditional practices such as calligraphy and origami, where language naturally emerges through observation, interaction, and shared attention to the activity.

Rather than separating language from culture, she treats them as part of the same process. Each session offers cultural insight alongside practical Japanese, helping students remember what they learn through meaningful context.

With a calm, creative atmosphere and a focus on presence and connection, Kumi-chan sensei sees every class as a small, once-in-a-lifetime encounter shaped by the people in the room. Her sessions are well suited for learners who enjoy a slower pace and a more experiential way of engaging with Japanese language and culture.

What to expect:

  • Japanese through cultural activities like calligraphy and origami
  • Learning by doing, not memorizing
  • A relaxed, creative atmosphere
  • Cultural insight alongside language practice

Gaku-sensei’s classes are all about learning Japanese the fun way. His focus is natural conversation, built around things students genuinely enjoy, from video games and anime to manga and everyday topics. The goal is simple: speak more, worry less, and enjoy the process.

Classes feel relaxed and playful, making them especially great for learners who want to build confidence and fluency without pressure or rigid rules.

Gaku is happiest in a cozy café with a bowl of ramen, talking about games and anime. He’s a big fan of cats and dogs, and Fullmetal Alchemist is his all-time favorite anime.

What to Expect:

  • Conversation-focused Japanese practice
  • Fun activities using games, anime, and manga
  • A relaxed class that encourages speaking from day one
